How it works
- Choose your state: the kit shows the claim limit and the published filing fee.
- List each amount you are claiming and the proof for it.
- Plan and send a demand letter; many disputes end there.
- Number your evidence and write your 3-minute summary.
- Track filing, service and hearing dates, then pack with the checklist.
Who it's for, and who it isn't
Good fit
- People filing a small claims case without a lawyer
- Landlords, tenants, customers and small businesses with a money dispute under the state limit
- Defendants who want to organize their side of the story
Not a fit
- Claims above your state's small claims limit (see the 50-state table)
- Anyone needing official court forms: get those from your court
- Anyone wanting legal advice on whether to sue

What this kit does not do
- It does not provide court forms or file anything for you.
- State figures were checked on October 11, 2026; fees change and often vary by county. Ten states are marked "not verified" for at least one figure.
- It cannot tell you whether you will win.
Frequently asked questions
Which states does it cover?
All 50 states are listed. For 40 states we verified both the small claims limit and the filing fee against official sources; the others are marked "not verified" for the missing figure so you know to ask the clerk.
Does it include a demand letter template?
It includes a worksheet that helps you plan what to say (facts, amount, deadline). You write the letter in your own words or use a template.
Refunds?
Within 14 days, no questions asked.
