How we make money
Summary
LegalCostGuides has three sources of income: display ads (Google AdSense), affiliate commissions from LawDepot, and sales of our own planning kits. None of them changes the cost figures we publish.
Display advertising
Ads are served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, subject to your consent choices; see our privacy policy. We do not choose individual ads and do not endorse advertisers.
LawDepot affiliate links
Some pages link to LawDepot, an online legal-document provider. If you create or buy a document after clicking, we may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. These links are labeled "Affiliate", marked rel="sponsored nofollow", and only placed where a template genuinely fits the topic (for example a lease template on a landlord-tenant page). LawDepot is not a law firm and not our partner beyond this affiliate program; we do not present it as legal advice.
Our own planning kits
We sell a small number of downloadable planning tools, such as a spreadsheet for comparing lawyer quotes. They are labeled as our products wherever they appear, with the price. They are organizing and budgeting tools, not legal advice or legal documents. See the refund policy and license.
What is not for sale
- We do not sell leads or pass reader information to lawyers.
- We do not accept payment from law firms, referral networks or lead marketplaces.
- We do not sell or share buyers' details for marketing, and buyers are not added to any mailing list.
